Pastor Mark and Amy Warren

Pastor Mark accepted the call to lead Crossroads in 2017.  With over 35 years of experience, he is a gifted teacher and is passionate about helping others learn to read, understand, and obey God's Word. He holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia International University in Bible Education, a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Apologetics with studies in church planting/growth and is completing his studies toward a Master of Divinity degree. Pastor Mark has taught high school Math and Bible, writes Bible curriculum, and is on the Board of Directors for The Shepherd's Calling, a missions organization to Moldova. EMAIL PASTOR MARK


Amaris "Amy" directs the youth ministry for ages 13-19. She regularly teaches classes on theology, worldview, and apologetics for teens and adults. She holds a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry and a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Southern Evangelical Seminary. Amy is also a Commissioned Fellow with the Colson Center for Worldview. She has taught high school Church History, American History, and World Religions. She is a homeschooling mom and speaks at conferences. EMAIL AMY


Together, Mark and Amy direct the teen apologetics track for American Family Radio's annual Marriage Family Life Conference. They have two teenage daughters, Chloe and Ivy, who walk with the Lord and serve the local church body.

Pastor Tyler & Mandy Hughes

Pastor Tyler is a gifted musician and leader. His love of music, people, and God merge to provide Crossroads with a thriving and authentic music ministry. He is a student of Theology at Moody Bible College and was ordained to the ministry in 2021. Tyler works in local government and is a volunteer firefighter for the Union Fire Department. Together, Mandy and Tyler develop and direct the Children's Ministry at Crossroads. Their experience, education, and love for children have made deep theological truths about God accessible to our young students. Mandy is a high school English teacher at Ridgecroft School.  They have three children, Lucas, Elsie, and Allie. EMAIL MANDY

Michael & Ellen Hughes

Michael and Ellen Hughes have been attending Crossroads since the founding of the church in February 2000. They have served in many ministries including children, youth, hospitality, women's, and men's. Michael served and retired after 30 years as a Hertford County Forest Ranger. He is now the owner of Timber and Management. Ellen has been in business as owner of Ellen's Hair Affair since 1986.


Michael and Ellen have shared their love for Jesus with their business contacts throughout the years. They married in 1989 and have two adult children, Tyler (married to Mandy), and Tracy (married to Brandon). They also have two grandchildren. A life goal is to leave a legacy of their love for Jesus through their acts of love to His people.

Mike & Brenda Whitaker

Mike and Brenda Whitaker have been serving at Church at the Crossroads since the founding of the church in February 2000. Their love for Jesus and the church body has led them to serve in many areas, including children, facilities ministry, hospitality, finances, men’s ministry, multimedia, outreach, small groups, and youth. Their love for Jesus extends beyond the doors of Crossroads into the community. They have volunteered at the Family Resource Center of Ahoskie to help with fundraisers, and Brenda has been serving on the Ahoskie Food Pantry Board for over 21 years.


Mike and Brenda have two adult sons: Dennis (married to Brittany) and Timothy (married to Makayla) and three grandsons, Brantley, Cayden, and Ethan.
